Simultaneity, Performance

live performance

2025

7 acts, approx. 63 min

Simultaneity, Performance experiments with the notion of “filming as dance,” proposing the film set as a choreographic time-space where decisions are adjusted in real time amid constant contingency. By employing filming actions, equipment, crew, and audiences as performers, the work reverses the conventional hierarchy between process and image: technical actions become the dance itself, while images emerge as its trace.

As part of the long-term research series SIMULTANEITY, the work explores complexity within collectivity, resisting hierarchy and distinction. Through the superposition of heterogeneous genres, roles, temporalities, and human and non-human agents, it cultivates a state of continuous generation in which instability, indeterminacy, and multiplicity function as aesthetic and political strategies. All the components “act on others and react to others, on all their facets and in all their parts.”
